FAQ

What are the 852 and 867?

852 and 867 are the codes given to a specific type of EDI reporting. Much like your orders and invoices may be sent through EDI, so too are these reports. EDI reports are not human readable, nor can they be imported into a spreadsheet. Instead they need to be processed by a special computer program. The 852 contains inventory and goods movement information and the 867 contains sales data.

How does EZ-SalesData obtain sales information from the wholesalers?

You must first contact your wholesaler and authorize EZ-SalesData to receive the data on your behalf. EZ-SalesData will work with your customer's EDI department to complete connectivity.

Can I get data from any wholesaler?

At this time the service is only connected with McKesson, though Cardinal, and Amerisource Bergen will be brought online shortly. There is no extra cost for adding additional wholesalers to your account. If there is another distributor that you wish to receive data from let us know and we will work with them to provide it.

How quickly can I begin to receive data?

In most cases EZ-SalesData can have your firm ready to go in under 48 hours. However the ultimate schedule will be dictated by how quickly your wholesaler moves in getting the data generated and sent.

How is my information protected?

Your company's data is password protected and kept on secure servers at the data center. Per our contractual obligation, your data will not be released, reviewed, or shared with anyone outside EZ-ePedigree. Only those persons you grant access to will be permitted to view your data.

What happens to my data if I cancel the service?

EZ-SalesData will remove the information from the website and store it offline for six months. After six months it will be permanently deleted. Prior to the permanent deletion, you can have your entire data record sent to you on CD/DVD/or electronically for a $300 fee. It will be in the same EDI X12 format that was sent by your partner so that it may be easily uploaded into any standard EDI system.

In order to keep our rates low, EZ-SalesData only offers email support

What is Fee For Service (FFS)?

This is where pharmaceutical manufacturers pay distributors for their distribution services. In return the distributors promise levels of performance in key areas such as maintaining certain inventory days on hand (DOH) and customer service levels.

On some of the reports the customer name is marked "BLOCKED” what does that mean?

Do to contractual arrangements with some customers, specific store data is blocked by the wholesaler. Thus the only information available regarding location is the first three digits from the Zip Code which EZ-Sales data uses to assign the region and state.

No, in order to maintain a consistent calculations, the system will only accept weekly files from your distributor.

At what time do the weekly updates become available?

Once again this is up to your distributor, but typically the data is available by noon EST on Saturday. This means you have data first thing Monday morning to work with.

There is a feature/function that I would like to use that does not seem offered. Can I request an additional feature to the service?

We take your feedback seriously and solicit your suggestions for improving the service. We will make every effort to include additional functionality. Our main criteria is that it is possible given the datasets we have to work with and it is useful for our wider client base.

Is there a charge for functionality that is added on later?

No. If the criteria above is met and we proceed with the additional feature there is never an additional charge. The rate for all users remains the same.?

What is done with my data if I choose not to continue with the service after the 4 week trial ?

We will hold your data for two weeks after the 4 week trial has ended and then permanently delete it.  Should you wish to restart the service at some later date that data will not be available.
